Lilly Pulitzer

I've always said, "wear pink and the boys will wink." Obviously, I'm obsessed with Lilly Pulitzer - particularly their outpost on Madison Avenue. Staffed with New York's finest preps, the women here are bubbly, kind and most importantly honest. Of course, their honesty comes with a bit of glitter - but still ensures you will not step out onto the streets of Manhattan, or *gasp* the country clubs of the Hamptons, in an ill-fitting frock.

A double dose of girly fun, the MadAve store features their signature citrus toned clothing on the first level, along with the legendary Murphee Scarves (as a Junior Leaguer, myself, I'm particular to a certain cherry hued item - ahem, Hanukkah is coming up, Mom.) Of course, there are other baubles and beauties: cell phone cases, planners, notebooks (a Lilly lady must be organized), water bottles and calendars. The planners are a pre-req for any self respecting sorority woman (active or alum), so be sure your girls have their planner prepped to pull out come spring semester.

Saunter up the spiral stairs to the perfectly pink second floor. The walls are decorated with none other than past prints - perfect for a trip down memory lane. The second floor of this blushing boutique has athletic gear (perfect to grab the attention of the hottie on the treadmill next to you), a sale room, lunch bags, formal wear and childrens' clothing. Fitting rooms feature a New York motif, inscribed with various phrases.

True to *Herstory*, this store is conveniently located next to a juice bar! Be sure to stop by in your sherbet shaded shift, and don't worry about drips - that's what these babies were designed for!
